FLOCO Media is proud to announce the launch of its most ambitious and expansive project to date—Into the Netherverse: Nine Lives to Die—an original animated series that brings the wild horror rock universe of Wicked BeatsĀ to life like never before.

As Wicked BeatsĀ nears its explosive conclusion with the release of Volume 10, Into the NetherverseĀ will pick up the story where the music ends. This adult-oriented animated saga will center around Allie Cat, the fierce frontwoman of Allie Cat and the Strays, who leads a ragtag team of musicians and misfits through a warped horror dimension teeming with legacy icons and terrifying new foes.

Joining Allie in the Netherverse are familiar faces from Neon Rebel, members of the Fox Fire RecordsĀ crew, and a haunting cast of original villains and tributes drawn from horror’s most iconic lore. The tone? Gritty, stylized, violent, and unapologetically adult. Think Invincible, Helluva Boss, Murder Drones, and The Boys: Diabolical—this is not a cartoon for kids. Into the NetherverseĀ will carry an R rating, with intense horror themes, graphic violence, and complex interwoven character arcs.

One of the series writers gave this insight into what fans can expect:

ā€œWe want to avoid the predictability of your average MCU or DCU story where you pretty much know going in that certain characters are safe. Safe is boring. What made Endgame, The Boys, or the early Game of ThronesĀ seasons captivating was that constant tension—who’s next? No one is safe. That’s the tone we’re aiming for.ā€

Originally storyboarded in early 2025, the project hit a major snag when YouTube abruptly blocked monetization of Wicked WhispersĀ content without explanation. This forced FLOCO to divert creative resources to address the unjustified embargo, delaying the original Halloween 2025 pilot release. After months of regulatory and legal wrangling, the team is back on track and working toward a Fall 2027Ā premiere, with full animation pre-production restarting now.

The first season will consist of eight 30-minute episodes, and should the series prove successful, a five-season sagaĀ is already mapped out and ready to enter development.

Why YouTube and Rumble?

Due to copyright restrictions on characters like Freddy Krueger, Into the NetherverseĀ must use platforms where Fair Use protections are widely accepted. YouTube has long served as a haven for tribute content, with thousands of creators running series that legally celebrate legacy characters.

While FLOCO doesn’t hold direct rights to all the horror icons featured in Wicked Beats, our use falls under Fair Use in the same way music tributes and satire do. Rumble is also being considered as it evolves its platform to better support creators outside the mainstream narrative.

FLOCO Media is also exploring its own streaming serviceĀ as a way to bypass YouTube’s financial throttling, driven largely by competitive pressure from bigger-budget corporate channels attempting to suppress Wicked WhispersĀ content visibility.

Gourdy Returns – With Company

The infamous Gourdy, our Nightmare Pumpkin King and flagship horror mascot, returns as one of the primary antagonists. He’ll be joined by a mix of legacy icons (in tribute form) and a terrifying slate of original villains, created entirely in-house. This fusion of horror music and animation pushes FLOCO’s creative teams to the next level and will define the future of Wicked Whispers and Fox Fire Records alike.
