Call for Animators - The Netherverse Project

FLOCO Animation is quietly assembling something ambitious.

We’re opening the door, carefully, for a limited number of animators to express interest in Netherverse, a flagship original project currently in development under the FLOCO Animation banner.

About the Project

Netherverse is a long-form animated narrative project with a planned 35-minute pilot episode, targeting release in October 2026. The pilot will premiere on the FLOCO website and on YouTube as part of a broader transmedia rollout.

The project is already underway. FLOCO Animation currently works with a small, trusted team of freelance animators, writers, and creatives. This call is not about replacing that team, it’s about selectively expanding it as production scales.

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in animators who specialize in mixed-media animation styles, particularly those comfortable blending:

• Western animation sensibilities

• Anime-influenced framing, pacing, and character work

• Gritty, mature visual storytelling
  

Stylistically, familiarity with productions in the vein of Invincible or Dispatch is a plus, not as templates, but as shared visual language. We’re less concerned with imitation and more interested in artists who understand how to balance stylization with grounded, cinematic storytelling.

This is an American-anime hybrid approach, bold line work, expressive motion, atmospheric lighting, and visual restraint when it matters.

What This Is (and Isn’t)

• This is not an open casting call for mass submissions

• This is not a rush job or speculative pitch request

• This is an opportunity to be considered for future collaboration as the project moves deeper into production
  

We value artists who can work collaboratively, respect story and tone, and understand long-form narrative demands, not just flashy clips.

• Pilot length: ~35 minutes

• Production window: Ongoing through 2026
