Dear fans, friends, and family of Fox Fire Records,

Due to unforeseen technical issues with both Apple Music and Amazon Music, our ongoing efforts to seamlessly replace older recordings with the newly re-recorded versions have hit a significant roadblock. Unfortunately, this means we have no other option but to move forward with a complete pull-down and re-upload of all impacted albums across every platform and genre.

As many of you know, this project began back in January when our artists agreed to finally tackle the long-standing sound quality issues that have affected music originally recorded under the old Monkey Paw Music catalog. While Fox Fire Records made considerable strides in improving production quality after acquiring the catalog, our early recording capacity still fell short of where it needed to be. Some of those early tracks—dating as far back as 2012—suffered from heavy distortion, and even our initial re-masters left much to be desired.

At the end of last year, FLOCO Media made major investments in new tools and strategies to push past those limitations and elevate all future releases. However, despite exhausting both human and AI-driven remastering methods, it became clear that the only true solution was to re-record the music entirely.

In January, Fox Fire Records met with all of our artists to discuss this plan. Every one of them agreed to return to the studio and re-record their work under the best modern conditions possible. Because the songs were already composed and arranged, the process has been smoother and more creative than ever.

As a result, this will be the final time any music is swapped out or re-uploaded. The process will temporarily disrupt playlists on YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Our team worked tirelessly with our distributor to avoid this outcome, but ultimately, this was the only viable way forward.

During this transition, albums may temporarily vanish before reappearing in their updated, high-quality form. The full process for each album should take 3–4 days from removal to re-release.

In addition, older YouTube Music visualizer videos will be archived into special playlists. Depending on each artist’s monetization setup, some may disappear immediately, while others will remain live until they reach the one-year mark.

We also know that many of you have a soft spot for the original “distorted” versions. Don’t worry — Fox Fire Records and FLOCO Media are working on a plan to preserve and reissue those classic tracks in special compilation albums, available for purchase through the Fox Fire Records section of the FLOCO Media website. We aim to have these ready before Christmas 2025.

In place of the retired videos, you’ll begin seeing brand-new enhanced visualizer and lyric videos rolling out throughout October and beyond. Some of our artists have even created TikTok-style short performance clips, which will debut soon.

Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our incredible artists and devoted fans. This has been a massive learning experience for all of us. When I founded FLOCO Media and later Fox Fire Records, I never could have imagined the scale of work, growth, and perseverance it would take to build a label from the ground up. Despite the setbacks, we’ve come a long way — and we’re just getting started.

The future is bright for FLOCO and Fox Fire Records. Our artists are returning to the stage for limited live performances, and we’re preparing to launch our official merch store featuring exclusive band apparel, artist collectibles, and physical CDs.

Thank you all for standing with us through every challenge. Your patience, loyalty, and passion mean the world.

With gratitude and determinat

ion,
