We’re thrilled to share that Can I Be A Pirate has once again sailed back into Amazon’s Top 10, currently sitting at #9 in Sociology of Education!

This comedic yet thought-provoking children's book—co-authored by Kara Floyd and Monty Floyd—originally debuted in 2024 as a #1 Best Seller in Children's Comedy for four straight weeks. It struck a chord with parents across the country for its bold, satirical take on the dangers of sexualized grooming within the public education system.

After a wild journey of ups and downs on the charts, Can I Be A Pirate continues to resonate—offering laughs, lessons, and a loud call for parental awareness.

🎉 This marks the third children's book by Kara Floyd, now the 1st President of Vulpine Publishing, and the first children's title by Monty Floyd, CEO of FLOCO Holdings and President of Fox Fire Records.

What’s Next?

Kara, a sociologist by training and a homeschooling mother of four, is currently:

Vetting a new romance series by incoming author Libby Fields

Working on her 4th children’s book in the Forever Be series, which tackles important issues in childhood development with clarity, humor, and heart.

Monty is returning to his roots in storytelling and illustration, developing a brand-new children’s series that will introduce a Vulpine/FLOCO original cartoon character focused on a serious child welfare topic. A former Disney Imagineer and animation intern, Monty is excited to bring his creative vision to life as both author and illustrator.

🌟 As for FLOCO Holdings—major changes are underway. With growth across music, publishing, and entertainment, we’re preparing for our 4th major website overhaul, including the launch of our long-awaited official merch shop.

Stay tuned—more exciting announcements and ventures are just around the corner.
