Wicked Whispers, Allie Cat, and the Battle Against Throttling

Over the past week, Fox Fire Records, Wicked Whispers, and Allie Cat have been facing what can only be described as targeted harassment and throttling across major social media platforms — most notably X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube.
This isn’t a one-time glitch. It’s a repeated, coordinated suppression that seems to happen every October — right as the Halloween season and our artists’ biggest releases begin to peak.
🚨 What’s Happening on X
Following the release of Allie Cat’s latest album, her follower count soared past 2,000 in less than four hours. But within hours, X began systematically removing followers — even though fans remain subscribed on their end.
Our marketing team confirmed the issue with three separate account executives, each reporting that while they are following Allie Cat, her account no longer shows them as followers. Attempts to unfollow and refollow do not fix the problem.
This isn’t an algorithmic quirk. This is deliberate visibility suppression.
At the same time, the Wicked Whispers X account was locked for “suspicious activity” — allegedly due to normal fan interaction and posting. After sharing screenshots of the throttling behavior, the account was fully locked and removed, cutting off access to both Wicked Whispers and Fox Fire Records staff.
At its peak, Wicked Whispers’ account had over 2,600 followers. It now displays fewer than 200, falsely shows “not following anyone,” and remains inaccessible to our team.

A Pattern of Censorship
This isn’t the first time we’ve been hit by shadow restrictions. Every year during the Halloween season, YouTube temporarily restricts our Halloween related channels, demanding repeated verification of content ownership. Once the season ends — and our peak promotional window closes — those restrictions are quietly lifted.
This pattern has persisted for years, and this time, we’re not staying silent. Fox Fire Records will be filing formal complaints with the FCC regarding these actions immediately and we have not ruled out legal action.
Why Target Us?
Allie Cat has never been afraid to speak her mind. Her very public fallout with major record labels — stemming from her refusal to tolerate harassment — made waves across the industry back in the summer of 2018. Meanwhile, Wicked Whispers continues to dominate the Halloween music scene with original horror-rock that’s outpacing mainstream “FNAF-style” and other Fiverr run productions.
We’ve ruffled feathers. We know it. And we believe the timing of these actions isn’t coincidence — it’s competition.
Ironically, our most controversial act — ACRE, the Christian metal band banned in parts of Europe for “hate speech” (i.e., unapologetic Christian lyrics) — isn’t being throttled and is thriving on YouTube. They would be thriving on X as well if they would make an effort.
That tells you everything.
What We’re Doing About It
Fox Fire Records is working with both our in-house marketing team and an independent digital audit firm to collect data on follower suppression and reach limitation across X and YouTube. If we uncover verified evidence of targeted throttling, we will pursue legal action.
We are not backing down.
🕯️ To Our Fantoms
We know how frustrating this is — for us, and for you. The Wicked Whispers X account remains locked, and Allie Cat’s follower count is still under manipulation. We’re doing everything we can to restore access and hold these platforms accountable.
The best way you can help?
Follow, share, and subscribe across all platforms.
Engage directly — likes, comments, and reposts help fight the algorithm.
Spread the word. Let others know what’s happening.
We will not let throttling silence the voices of our artists or our success.
Stay spooky, stay loud, and keep supporting independent artists who refuse to bow.
