🎸 Artist Spotlight: Neon Rebel — The Pulse Behind Electric Riot

Seattle’s own Neon Rebel is more than just a band — it’s a statement. Known best as the raucous retro rock voice behind many of Wicked Whispers signature Wicked Beats tracks, Neon Rebel has quietly become one of the most influential forces shaping the return of 1980s glam rock, politically driven metal, and tongue-in-cheek rebellion.

But behind the thundering riffs and thunderstruck tribute sets lies a story as loud as the music.

Neon Rebel — also known by their alternate name TNT, an acclaimed AC/DC tribute band — first exploded onto FLOCO Media’s radar during the 2024 acquisition of the defunct Monkey Paw Music catalog. While other artists jumped ship or went independent, Neon Rebel signed on, albeit reluctantly. It wasn’t the contract, the fame, or the money — it was the cause.

They stayed for the fight.

The Long Road to Electric Riot

Neon Rebel’s debut album Electric Riot has been in the works since 2023, and while it’s still a work in progress, the wait might just be worth it.

We caught up with frontman and lead guitarist Chase Bigbie to ask about the delays:

“It’s a work in progress, and has been for about five years. I feel like once we knuckle down and focus on Electric Riot, it’ll practically write itself. But between Wicked Beats, Allie Cat’s new Feral album, and, let’s be real, Acre stealing our drummer… time hasn’t exactly been on our side.”— Chase Bigbie, Neon Rebel

The album, due Summer 2026, promises a raw, retro, politically-charged ride through modern American chaos. From censorship to cultural rot to economic decay, Electric Riot won’t pull punches — and neither will FLOCO.

A FLOCO Exclusive Rebellion

As one of the only bands to sign a one-way promissory agreement with FLOCO Media (to release Electric Riot exclusively), Neon Rebel joins a small elite group of artists fighting back against an increasingly censored and corporatized music industry. FLOCO, under the leadership of Fox Fire Records’ President Monty Floyd, has made enormous investments into an in-house music marketplace that allows artists to bypass mainstream distributors and release directly to fans.

In fact, with the launch of FLOCO 3.0, Neon Rebel will be part of a select crew test-piloting FLOCO’s new exclusive music distribution system — debuting with Summerween 2025 tracks and the full original Wicked Beats Vol. I.

The Soundtrack of a Retro Rebellion

Neon Rebel has also teamed up with Allie Cat and her band The Strays to form Neon Kitty — a hard-hitting side project responsible for some of the loudest bangers on Wicked Beats. And while Neon Rebel doesn’t currently plan to tour under their core banner, they remain actively fulfilling their live commitments as TNT.

Bassist Nick Nash, originally from Munich, Germany, also pulls double duty as the drummer for Acre. His recent team-up with Allie Cat to re-record Palastanid (in German) from Acre’s Christ is King album is nothing short of legendary. The track not only showcases Neon Rebel’s global roots, but the group’s fierce commitment to quality — and Dolby Atmos upgrades.

What's Next?

While Neon Rebel is only committed to producing Electric Riot, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more from them in the near future — especially with the wave of re-recordings now surging through FLOCO. Allie Cat is leading that charge, and if there’s one thing we know about Chase, Jax, Nick, and the rest of the band… they’re never far behind the next big explosion.

For now, fans will have to wait until 2026 for the full Electric Riot experience — but rest assured, it’s going to blow the doors off.
