FLOCO Unleashes an Animated Nightmare: The Birth of Our Horror Series

FLOCO has always been about pushing boundaries, whether it’s through music, publishing, giving outspoken artists a platform, fighting (and easily defeating) censorship / cancel culture, or creating worlds that haunt the imagination. Now, we’re taking things to an entirely new level—an original animated horror series that ties directly into our music and the macabre universe we’ve been building across Wicked Whispers, Fox Fire Records, and Vulpine Publishing.
Welcome to the Netherverse
At the heart of this new series is Gourdy, the nightmare spirit of horror (and the mascot of Wicked Whispers and Eerie Effects), a sinister entity that torments none other than Allie Cat. But what starts as a cat-and-mouse (or cat-and-monster) game soon spirals into something far darker, pulling Allie and the rest of her band (eventually) into an alternate dimension—the Netherverse—where they must navigate and escape the horrifying realms inspired by the very songs we’ve created. Every nightmarish world they face is based on a track we’ve written, bringing our twisted lyrics to life in ways that will thrill, chill, and keep you up at night.
But here’s the real kicker—this series won’t just be a passive horror experience. As we move forward, we’re looking to introduce our own original horror characters that will be featured not only in the show but also in an upcoming horror novel series currently under development by our sister company, Vulpine Publishing. This crossover will weave a terrifyingly intricate web between music, animation, and literature, making this one of the most ambitious projects we’ve ever taken on to date.
The Power of Animation & Internships
Building an animation studio from scratch is no small feat, but FLOCO has never shied away from a challenge. So far we built an entire Record Label and Publishing House, both from scratch and with great success. Vulpine has two Amazon Best Sellers under its belt, and Fox Fire Records has shattered expectations and a few records so far.
It's all thanks to the innovative leadership of CEO Monty Floyd—a former Disney Animation Intern and ex-Imagineer Intern for Disney MGM’s legendary Star Wars Weekends—leading the charge. Presently, we’re assembling an internal team to handle storyboarding, character design, and some animation. Naturally, given the turn around time, some elements will be produced in-house, while others will be outsourced to freelance animators and talented interns as part of our TIPP Internship Program.
We’ve already secured seven animation TIPP Internship prospects, and if all goes well, we could be looking at seven brand-new animated music videos alongside our flagship series. So in all we are looking to produce seven free standing animated music videos for seven of our already released Wicked Beats songs, and a fully animated series. These videos will follow the tradition of popular FNAF-style animated horror music videos, bringing our songs to life in chilling new ways.
Live-Action? We’re Giving It Another Shot
Beyond animation, we’re also taking another stab at a live-action music videos for all of our artists. While past attempts have faced challenges (we’re sitting on two hours of combined footage that just didn’t hit the mark), we refuse to give up. Film production is an art form of its own, and we’re committed to mastering it. This next attempt will determine how we move forward.
The Future of Wicked Whispers is Dark—And We Love It
Going back to Wicked Whispers, the planned animated series is just the beginning. As we expand our creative footprint, our goal is to redefine horror entertainment, offering fans not just music, but entire worlds to explore, characters to fear, and stories to unravel.
If successful, FLOCO will have a fully functioning animation studio under its belt. CEO Monty Floyd is very excited about the upcoming netherverse project (which is un-named right now... netherverse is not its name) but is more excited about what is lurking just around the corner.
Here is what he had to say...
I'm very excited to finally get the music videos for the fans of Wicked Whispers, Allie Cat, Neon Rebel, and our other talented artists off the ground. I'm even more excited about the prospect of jumping back into my original passion - animation! If successful in our efforts, FLOCO will have a third animation based brand, and I will be able to explore the possibility of finally creating my own children's animation series, which has been a lifelong dream of mine.
This latest announcement regarding the new Wicked Whispers animated franchise connects to FLOCO’s earlier revelation of its plans to launch an original animated children’s series, showcasing characters created by Monty.
Monty’s series will bring to life a colorful cast of children’s cartoon characters, led by Flint the Fox. While production details remain unconfirmed, FLOCO anticipates a potential launch no earlier than 2028. The project’s development will heavily rely on the success of the Wicked Whispers Netherverse, which is currently in early storyboard stages with a completed script. FLOCO aims to release the first episode of the Netherverse just in time for Halloween 2025.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to bring these projects to life!
